Note: in order to have FMProdConf 1.0 on your site, you must also install FMProdConf 1.0 - client component
1. Read the file license.html. If you don't fully agree with it then you have no right to install this software. If you have any questions, contact me (florinm@topedge.com).
2. Put the fmprodconf.exe file somewhere in the cgi-bin
directory, thus making him available for the applet.
Update the applet parameter in the html file according to the
location of this cgi-bin.
Also put the file cygwin.dll somewhere o your web server, so that
the DLL can be loaded when fmprodconf.exe is launched (it won't
work without this DLL). Eventually, you can keep the DLL in the
same folder with fmprodconf.exe.
3.Make a directory for storing the FMProdConf databases.
Ensure yourself that the web server has write permission on that
directory. Copy there the demo files (those with names starting
with "DEMO_").
Ensure yourself that all file names in the databases directory
are in upper case (this is the program convention for database
names).
Update the applet parameter in the html file according to the
location of this data directory.
4. That's al with the server component of FMProdConf. It must work. If however it doesn't, please contact me. FMProdConf is simple and robust and it can't have unsolvable problems.
