1930's In the Panama Canal Zone - A Look Back

My Grandfather was based as a member of the US Army in the Panama Canal Zone and the Hawaiian Islands throughout the 1930's and the war years of the 1940's. Recently we found an old album of photos I thought I'd share with everyone. (Mike Jr)

First a special photo, this is the USS Constitution - "Old Ironsides" - seen on her last international
tour in 1934-1936 while passing through the Panama Canal. The Constitution is the oldest
commissioned warship afloat, built in 1797. She serves on in Boston Harbour.
Visit her today at http://www.ussconstitution.navy.mil/
