By the time you receive this news letter we should be well on our way home. I’m sure your as excited, anticipating our return, as the men of Fighting Fourteen. We’ve had a great summer,visited many exciting countries and had a very successful deployment. The success we have enjoyed can be attributed to a total team effort. Every Tophatter gave it his all! You should be very proud, as I am of the sailors of this great Squadron.

As our deployment winds down so does my tour in Fighting Fourteen. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the families for your support, especially during the months of work-ups and during the deployment. Your cards, letters, packages, and original art from the children have had a very positive effect on the morale of the members of this Squadron. We couldn’t have done without you! As I leave, and transfer to Fighter Wing in Oceana I take with me fond memories of serving with the Navy’s very best. Rest assured I’ll still keep my eye out for the Tophatters of Fighting Fourteen.

Stay safe, keep the home fires burning and I look forward to seeing you at homecoming.
