CRUISE SUMMARY

After a stop in Haifa, Israel, we steamed south through the Suez Canal into the Red Sea. the weather turned much hotter as we took part in Operation Southern Watch, enforcing the no-fly zone over Iraq. The Tophatters won the golden wrench once more -- a truly worthy accomplishment for an F-14 squadron. Next, it was Operation Beacon Flash with the country of Oman, back through the Suez Canal, and into the Med for one last month before we head for home.
