The Arleigh Burke Fleet Trophy is awarded annually to the most improved combat unit (ship, submarine, or squadron) in Commander in Chief, U. S. Atlantic Fleet (CINCLANTFLT).

This trophy has been awarded for the first time in its prestigious existence to a F-14 squadron - and this exceptional honor rewards this year the Tophatters of VF-14! This achievement which definitely brings the Tophatters among the top squadrons of the Navy only means that there is more work to do now and it must be done in a better way, improvements never ceasing - for maintaining this hard earned place is even tougher and more demanding than getting there.
