VF-14 is taking part in
Operation Allied Force!
A message from the Commanding Officer
April 12th 1999, aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71)
Once
again, the Tophatters are involved in combat operations, this time in support of Operation Allied Force. I can tell you that the squadron is doing
superbly. Everyone is rising to the occasion and doing the duty their country has asked of
them without hesitation. As a friend or family member of a Tophatter, you should be very
proud of what we are doing and how well we are performing. We are committed to combat
missions in support of Operation Allied Force as long as our
country deems it necessary.
E-mail
is up and working for the most part, but is not guaranteed. If you are having difficulty
getting in touch with the Tophatters, be patient and please keep trying. Internet access
is very limited, so we will take every opportunity to post your messages from the guestbook in our squadron readyroom and maintenance control. We
have already received several emails wishing us the best in our efforts, and we certainly
do appreciate all the support.
I would like to remind you that EVERY member of the Fighting
Tophatters is involved directly with our success - from our most junior airman to our most
senior aircrew. Spirits are high, and our resolve is set.
All the best,
CDR Ted "Slapshot" Carter |
