_ BIOGRAPHY _

I was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida and received a B. S. in Aeronautical Engineering. I received my commission through AOCS in Pensacola, Florida in June 1984.

I served in Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron SIX (HS-6) from 1984-1987. During this period I completed a North Pacific and a West-Pac deployment aboard USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) including operations off of Libya. I next reported to Navsta Roosevelt Roads’ Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) from 1987-1990. In January of 1991, I reported to Aircraft Anti-Submarine Squadron THIRTY (VS-30) onboard the USS SARATOGA (CV 60). I participated in Operation Desert Storm (January-April 1991) and completed a Mediterranean deployment (May-November 1992). In December of 1993, I reported to Navy Post-Graduate School in Monterey, California and graduated in March 1996 with a M. S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering. I returned to the fleet in May 1996 reporting to Fitron FOURTEEN (VF-14) where I’m currently serving as the Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer.
