VF-24 was one of the finest
fighter squadron's of it's day as you will see
here on these pages. From MIG kills over the
skies of Vietnam, to the first squadron to
operate the enhanced F-14B and the first fleet
squadron to drop air-to-ground ordance. In the
twilight years of their life, VF-24 was the
premier air-to-ground F-14A squadron and worked
to develop tactics for the new roles of strike
and CAS. Sadly, when the future looked bright
with NVG's and LANTIRN on the way, VF-24 was
given orders to dis-establish. For as they might
say, "Old fighter squadrons never die, they
just fade away". Well, the Renegade Spirit
will not die, it will RAGE ON!!!
