I am born in Reykjavík, Iceland 1957 and rased there until I was 7 then I spent the summers at a farm in Northern Iceland but the winters in Reykjavik. My big dream was to become a farmer, but not all dreams come true;-)

My background is in business and computer science I was import manager for electrical material when I met computers 1981 and then as one of my friend said, I knew what I would like to be.

I have been married for nearly twenty years my husband has his poetry online, we have two kids.

I was one of four establishers of the Icelandic Network for Education and Culture - Ismennt in 1992 and worked there as educational director until December 1995. My main role was to support teachers and students in using Internet in education. I participate in various nordic groups on behalf of Iceland such as the Nordic School Network - Odin, IDUN - Informationsteknology in education and data pedagogy and one group about: Adult education and new technology. I am working freelance right now, teaching and giving lectures.

I am Assistant Project Director in the KIDLINK,, represent Europe on the board of directors in the KIDLINK society as well as Iceland.

I have written several articles about Ismennt as well as use of computer communication. I have held several talks about the same subjects nationally, on nordic meetings, European conferences in Denmark and Sweden as well as on international conferences in London and Boston.
