Looks like a very interesting periodical. As a biased Life Member of the Tailhook Assn, and a former VA Sqdn and CVA C.O., I feel "Air Power" would be a broader and more appropriate handle. Air Force per se encompasses only a fragment of what goes on in the War-in-the-Air environmentthese days.

Aloha from Hawaii! Great work and a nice webpage. It would be nice if an article was written about all the un-sung heroes who keep them flying; the maintenance crews that put in literally hundreds of hours of work and sweat for just a few hours of flight time by the aircrews. I'll check in regularly. Thanks, mate.

We noticed your homepage on the WWW and wanted to invite you to visit our site. Our company may be able to provide a valuable service to men and women who are transitioning back into the civilian workforce. We are actively involved with our members as they move through the hiring process and try to facilitate this as much as we can. We encourage members to contact us with questions rather than waste their money on long distance calls to depts. We will then call the depts and get the information our member wanted. Many members have told us they save much more than the $15.00 per month membership fee on just this aspect of our service. We currently list nearly 700 depts hiring nationwide. We credit members $3.00 apiece for every dept hiring they report to us that we don't already have listed. Many members never pay any more than the first months membership, all the rest is taken care of as credits. Of course, this isn't very difficult, as it only takes reporting five depts per month to pay for our service. Michael E. Moore, GM http://www.firejobs.com http://www.policejobs.com

Great magazine, well put together, with informative writers. If I have to moan (just a little) the Carlo Kopp AAM finished an otherwise excellent piece with some drivel about the RAAF aquiring the F22, Their are several aircraft about which would compete for this Honour, including EF2000, Gripen, Rafeal, or MIGs. please try to keep personal bias out. Once again great mag!!!.
Sat Jun 21 11:35:32 1997 , JCOOM@tpgi.com.au
Very nice webpage you have here. Then there's your magazine which I think is a lot better compared to the others. Most of the others tend to focus on old, ugly planes. But Air Force Today focuses on new, hightech ones. The only thing is that a little to the down side is thatthe magazine is a gets a little expensive here in Canada. The magazine cost me over 10 dollars canadian compared to the others which are about the same thickness (number of pages) are no more than 5 or 7 dollars. These prices don't include the GST and PST that are present in my province. Is there anything you can do about that? Well overall, I still like your magazine a lot and hopefully will be able to not go broke buying them. :c) Thanks for you time. Jackson Ha

I enjoy the mag but please don't forget that Air Forces are more than planes and pilots. Some of the missions people perform never get recognised because if they don't wear wings aviation mags ignore them and if they don't wear khaki army mags ignore them. I'm sure readers would be fascinated to read about 114 MCRU, ATTU, AFDW, OSG, MATU, etc. How about it?

Great looking mag. You did a great job capturing the EF-111 and the 429th ECS. I was in the right seat of the Sparkvark for that photo sortie, with Jim Wingo. Must be a terrible job, wandering around the world, scamming rides in fighters, shooting a few happy snaps. How can I get a job like that. A quick story to tell about that photo shoot, that Neville probably hasn't passed along. It was a three ship sortie, #1 was us in the EF-111. #2 was the F-16 in the photos, loaded down with two bombs and 4 missiles, thus barely able to get airborne, and #3 was a two-seat F-16, with Neville Dawson in the back-seat. We were on the way back from the working area. #2 was cleared off earlier, because he was running short of gas. We were leading, with #3 in close fingertip formation. Then the formation spread out a little, and #3 starting bobbing, wobbling, weaving like a drunk fish on the end of a string. What's up with that Jim and I wonder. Then in comes over the radio, "3-Bravo has the jet." Neville was flying, though rather poorly. But who am I to complain, he has about the same amount of F-16 sticktime I have, which ain't saying much. Cheers, good luck with the magazine, and keep the pointy end forward. Fish We were leading the formation, with #3

VERY nice site! Great balance of gfx and applets. I like the mini slide shows. Two hints: The rotating aircraft applets are distracting after a while, and take some time to load. There may be a better use of that effort. If you use width and height parameters in the IMG tags, the space for each image will be reserved on initial loading, and the text won't jump around as much as the images load -- makes for easier reading.

The new web page is a significant improvement over the previous version. The aircraft motion is terrific. Also, the "slideshow" of the magazine covers is really sensational. Keep up the good work. I will be checking in later.
