Awsome page, though I haven't seen all of it yet. The real time movie clips are cool. (F-14 and F-16) I'm kinda paranoid about distributing my name on the internet, sorry. Not that I don't trust you or anything.

Nice web site. How about a section on TARPS and the photo recce thing?- I'm an ex-Pukin' Dog ('91-'95) who shot some of the photos in here but I don't see any photo credits, other than "USN". Would you use photo credits if you had them? As a US Navy Photo Officer LDO I can tell you some of the only "job well done" a photog gets is seeing his photos with credit attached.

Retired PRCS who still loves her Tomcats. Your site provides a much needed Kitty fix. Served with the Mutha Squadron (VF-124) in Miramar '83-'87. CJ Heatley was my XO at one time. Went to the premier of TopGun in San Diego way back when. Had my pictue in the Rolling Stone outfitting one of the numerous photojounaltists who went for a backseat ride. (Argh!) Great site, but I'm sure that you're aware that some of your info is outdated. Being a proud RIO of the VF-102 Diamondbacks, I can tell you that the proper way to refer to our "new" birds is as the F-14B Upgrade. The Diamondbacks are the first squadron that will deploy as "full-up" Upgrades. While technically the "Jolly Sluggers" were the first to use the LANTIRN pod, the aircraft that tested it were F-14B MCAP birds, which didn't have all the toys the Upgrades have. Let me know of you want to know some of the details about the Diamondbacks and the Tomcat community itself. "Anytime, Baby!"

hello friend! I´m a super fanatic of the F-14 A/B and D models, and also a plastic modeler with several F-14 kits in every possible scale. My principal interest is in modelling a D model Tomcat in 1/32nd scale. Please would you like to tell me if I can find any aftermarket resin kit to do this conversion on a Tamiya model? Also I´m looking for very good photos of a VF-103 squadron machine (Jolly Rogers). I hope to receive news from you very soon. Thanks a lot...

Hi Dorian, managed to grab a few minutes to look round the place, see the pictures got through but no thumbnails. Pity. Will try and get online again soon and visit the msg board, but dont have the URL on me right now. See if I can sort out the missing files. I was actually worrying that I hadn't sent the full jpegs, not the thumbs. Also note the new Alley htm is not there, funny I'm sure it was in the zip (i checked the original zips this morning, wondering about whether the full size jpegs had been sent). As said I'll try and send you a few bits and bobs to tidy the place up, but this isnt my account so cant say how often I'll be able to sweetalk its owner into letting me use it. Well hope you weren't too mad at the missing files. Have fun, the weather here is sunny, beer is plentiful and so are the women!! Dave

I have been to a lot of tomcat pages and this one is realy great. Thanks for this fantastic page. I have always loved the F-14 and am not that it is going to be taken out of serice.I do have a question and hope someone can help me out, I know that the F-14 had one air to air victory during the Gulf war when one of them shot down a helicopter, my question is which squadron was this F-14 from and did the F-14TOMCAT A;B or D get any other air to air kills during the Gulf war any time more recently. thanx TOMCAT FAN.

I think that F-14s are some of the coolest planes that the Navy/Airforce has ever built. The movie Top Gun also inspired me a lot. I am curently in the process of making a presentation of F-14s in my English class. I hope to someday be a pilot. In the Navy or a commercial jet, I don't care but I really want to fly a plane some day. If whoever reads this has the inspiration to write back I would be really happy. Theanks a lot. P.S. Hey David, I'm Pau from Spain and I got very impressed by your cool F-14 web. Was it hard to create it? I would like to ask you a favour which is if you could download any kind of cool images of the F-14. Thanks in advanced Pau Redón. josep.redon@uv.es

The page is most interesting. Keep up the good work. I was stationed NAS Oceana for about five years (1991-1996). I was assigned to VF-14 and VF-101. Just found your page. I'm sure I'll be back quite often.

I love the Tomcat. It is my favorite. I want to fly this airplane when I grow up. Could you give me any info about where I can get low price models of this in the Trenton, NJ area.

your page is absolutley brilliant!!!!!!!! actually it is better than brilliant it is so good there is no word to describe it. I am a big F-14 fan and have been for a long time. i love them so much i have watched Topgun a massive 57 times since christmas just so i could watch them. I live in Scotland so there is not much things about tomcats here. But saying that i have succeded in finding quite a few modles and pictures.
