 Helicopter Exercise!
The Adriatic Sea, Apr.21, 1999. A string of
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians (EOD) are lifted by an SH-60 Seahawk helicopter of
Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Three (HS-3) during special insertion and extraction
(SPIE) training exercise on board USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). VF-14 Tomcats line up
the deck. Roosevelt and its embarked carrier air wing are participating in strike missions
against the former Yugoslavia in support of NATO Operation Allied Force.
