1st prototype suffered hydraulic failure on second flight and crashed into woods while on approach to Calverton.
157989 F-14A NATC "10" 30.06.1972
Crashed near Chesapeake Bay while practising for an air show at Patuxent River.
157985 F-14A NMC "6" 20.06.1973
The aircraft was lost near Point Mugu when an AIM-7 pitched up on launch and ruptured a fuel tank, causing a fire which necessitated crew ejection.
157987 F-14A NATC 13.05.1974
This Tomcat suffered an engine fire on ground at Patuxent River.
